Diabetics without insulin. A 45-pound abdominal mass. Breast cancers, not just one, but several. Pancreatic cancer. Lung lesions. Asthmatic and COPD patients without medications to help them breathe. Undiagnosed pregnancy.
Although this may sound as though these people might live in a third world country, the truth is that these patients actually live right here in our own area. All of the above medical issues have been diagnosed and treated in our clinic right here in Mifflinville.
The patients that we treat here in the clinic are productive, working citizens, but they have no health insurance, for a variety of reasons. All of these patients, and others, have been given a new lease on life because they have finally been able to receive qualified care for their medical problems. They have been able to go to work feeling well and to be more productive at their jobs. They have been able to spend quality time with their families and not have to worry about their illnesses.
We are now reaching out to the communities that we serve to help us to continue to provide these vital services. Our clinic receives no government funding, but is the result of a deep commitment by many medical and non-medical volunteers. We have created here in the clinic a “WALL OF HOPE”. All donors will be recognized on the wall, no matter the size of the donation.
There are six donor categories:
$5000-$10000 – Angel
$2500-$5000 – Founder
$1000-$2500 – Benefactor
$500-$1000 – Partner
$100-$500 – Supporter
0-$100 – Friend
